NBA: Pacers Force OT But Fall to Celtics in ECF Game 1

Indiana's Haliburton Explodes for 33, But Boston Steals Victory

Celtics Prevail 133-128 in Overtime Thriller

In a thrilling opening act of the Eastern Conference finals, the Boston Celtics eked out a narrow 133-128 victory over the Indiana Pacers in overtime on Tuesday night at TD Garden. Despite a valiant effort from Tyrese Haliburton, who poured in a game-high 33 points, the Celtics ultimately proved too much to handle in the extra period.

The Pacers, riding high after their upset victory over the Miami Heat in the previous round, came out firing on all cylinders in the first half. Haliburton led the charge, scoring 18 points in the first quarter alone as Indiana surged to a 30-point advantage. Boston, struggling to find their rhythm, trailed by 20 at the half.

However, the Celtics rallied in the second half, led by Jayson Tatum's 27 points and Jaylen Brown's 23. With the score tied at 118 at the end of regulation, the game went to overtime. In the extra period, Boston's experience proved decisive as they outscored Indiana 15-10 to secure the win.
