Timberwolves Survive Some Late Game Drama to Win the Battle in Dallas

They forced a Game 5 back in Minnesota on Thursday.

The Dallas Mavericks proved to be just as tough of an opponent as everyone thought they would be when the Minnesota Timberwolves came to town for Game 4 on Monday night.

The Timberwolves ultimately won the game 105-100, but they once again came close to blowing a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. Dallas cut the lead to just three points with less than two minutes remaining, but the Timberwolves were able to hit their free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

The Timberwolves were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists. Anthony Edwards also had a big game, scoring 22 points and dishing out six assists. Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 30 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, but he also had seven turnovers.

The Timberwolves now have a 3-1 lead in the series and will have a chance to close it out at home on Thursday night. The Mavericks will need to win Game 5 to force a Game 6 back in Dallas on Saturday night.
